Principal Consultant – USA

We are currently looking for experienced Principal Consultants with expertise in Commodity Trading and Risk Management systems implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consulting & Advisory

  • Provide on-site and off-site consulting services related to commodity trading and management.
  • Conduct business process analysis and documentation.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews.
  • Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide thought leadership to maximize client investment in implemented solutions.

Systems Selection & Implementation

  • Support clients through system selection and implementation processes.
  • Perform gap analysis between business needs and system capabilities.
  • Prepare functional design specifications.
  • Configure systems and manage master data setup.
  • Coordinate and execute system testing (unit, integration, UAT).
  • Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.

Technical Design & Software Development

  • Prepare technical design documents for internal or client-specific software development.
  • Develop and test software solutions in alignment with approved technical designs.
  • Ensure quality, scalability, and performance of developed solutions.

Project Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Participate in project governance activities.
  • Provide high-level quality control across project deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment with project scope, timelines, and best practices.

Service Development & Innovation

  • Design and develop repeatable service offerings to address common client challenges.
  • Contribute to methodology enhancements and best practice frameworks.

Sales & Account Support

  • Support Account Managers in client relationship management.
  • Assist in sales pursuits, including solution design input and proposal development.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.

Job Requirements

-          Education: Engineering degree such as Bachelor of Engineering or an equivalent qualification

-          Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in software development
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience working with Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems
  • Prior experience with the Aspect CTRM system is preferred.
